Hey friends,

I can’t believe that I’ve managed to do this every week for over four months. It’s been interesting to write about what I’m doing, because I haven’t always thought about it very much. Making art has always been about going down rabbit holes and hitting a dead end and digging in a new direction, exploring and trying new things. When I had kids drawing time shriveled up and it seemed all my ideas and drawings now had to have purpose and pay off. Eight and a half years on I can tell you it hasn’t worked.

I know I get a little up my own butt, so thank you for sticking with me. Thanks for reading. Thanks to paying subscribers. I am gonna start posting Darin Draws on Fridays for a while (I know its Thursday🙃); I share a computer with my partner and it’s just easier this way.
